Very rare turtles that get very large. Be prepared to give them large housing as adults. Males get to 20 inches and females can get to 31 inches. The water basin size for these turtles should be at least 12x the total length the turtle, 6x as wide, and 3x as deep. That should be the minimum for 1 to maybe 2 adults. These are definitely active pond turtles that need space. They need high UV and a basking spot and the water temperature should be around 79 degrees fahrenheit with air temperature around 80. These are mainly herbivorous turtles so dark leafy greens and some turtle safe vegetables along with some aquatic turtle pellets are a great diet. These babies have been fed carrots, zucchini, dandelion, cucumber, callard greens, and mazuri aquatic turtle pellets (once or twice a week).
